my company, Searchlight Pictures, tries to make low-budget films with a glossy hollywood feel. if that makes them commercial films then so what? if someone has an idea for a film then good for them! we have yet to make a film (our first feature signal is currently in development) but i'll do all in my power as writer/director to get it noticed. controvesial people only get noticed for a short amount of time, if you decide to keep up this controversy shit people'll get sick of u and when you leave you'll soon be forgotten.

Theres nothing wrong with glossy Hollywood style. Personally, I want to make Hollywood films - but the more critically acclaimed type...the less mainstream type of flick.

I'm a fan of Hollywood and I'll defent it to the death. But I never watch the cheesy movies...maybe when they come on TV..

Can I just say that your opening (and only sentence) is flawed in one major way Danielson. You are trying to understand why people don't make films that you would think are good. If that's what you want people to do then why are you against people making films that would earn cash because it seems to me (correct me if I'm wrong) that good films are the ones that make money.
Admitttedly, some great films don't but that's for other reasons such as advertising...bla bla bla.
